Men’s Fashion Week Spring/Summer ’17 brought forth three distinct types of women to its streets. Firstly, there were the ladies. Impeccably dressed from head-to-toe, the ladies embraced their femininity in styles that were both pretty and beautiful. Enjoying the summer heat, they wore delicate dresses in lace and chiffon that swished around their legs as they gracefully walked the streets in sandals. After the ladies, came the suits, women who had been playing dress-up in their boyfriends’ closets as it would seem. They wore business shirts, trousers, vest and blazers, all of which were oversized with a roomy, masculine fit, but divine none the less. Ties were even added to some of the looks for a fun finish. The suits still managed to keep the look feminine and summery, however, with the aid of light colours such as baby blue and sand. While the suits and ladies may have embraced colour, the final group; the rebels, avoided it all together. Head-to-toe black was the uniform for these women whose looks were not only filled with style but attitude as well. Whether a rebel, suit or lady, the women at this fashion week did have one thing in common, however, it was all street style gold.
