And just like that, we’re at Paris Fashion Week. The French streets were buzzing with the final installment of the fashion month, but the style was off the charts and ready to inspire millions in its wake. Fashion goers experimented with layers and innovative silhouettes, playing with textures such as tulle, lace, and leather, blending the trends together and blurring the lines between edgy and elegance. We see plenty of black during the chillier months, and this season was no exception. But the attendees were also not afraid of color or unconventional silhouettes. The most popular shades we’ve seen this season are hot red, cobalt blue, and fluorescent green and yellow, each worn in the form of coats, dresses, footwear, and accessories. As temperatures dipped, there were plenty of oversized puffer coats, short-sleeved jackets, and tiered maxi skirts covered in glitter. This also marks the end of ankle boots, with knee-length alternatives taking over in myriad colors – black, cream, gold, red, and blue. It’s also the time to experiment with scarves as headwear – attendees opted for wrapping the fabrics around their heads to keep the wind away, and it made for a chic twist to the classic accessory. Get inspired and find your favorite look from Paris Fashion Week FW23.
