Paris Fashion Week AW24 street style brought us plenty of inspiration with so many more eye-catching trends. With freezing conditions comes layering. We saw plenty of black and cream maxi skirts worn with long coats, structured blazers, and trench coats. Fashion-goers paid attention to unusual textures, with fringed fabrics, lashings of leather, and double denim spotted on every corner. From Dior to Balmain, cream, grey, and black trousers were popular choices, hitting the ground with plenty of pockets.
A surprising trend we spotted this week was colored tights. While black is the most common choice for cooler months, we couldn’t help but get excited catching splashes of pink, white, and red; a fun hint of color peeking between mini skirts, long coats, and maxi skirts. Outside the world of hosiery, red continues to dominate the scene, with hints of tomato and maraschino cherry worn primarily in accessories, especially handbags and flats.
Cutting through the bright colors were crisp white shirts worn with oversized blazers, tucked into shorts, and buttoned-up underneath tailored suits. We also saw plenty of neutrals, but you couldn’t miss the bright hits of blue, icy cool grey, and glimmers of metallics catching the light of the winter sun. Popular shoes were black, cream, and burgundy knee boots, slingback pointy-toed shoes, and chunky styles.
