It’s that time of year again when fashion week takes over our feed and fills our minds with endless inspiration. Despite the weather feeling beyond freezing, the fashion was coming in hot, and some of the color combos were adding to the fire. Red and fuchsia has had quite a moment in the spotlight, and it appears the trend isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
Accessories are all you need to make a statement – unique scarves, shoes, and bags were the standouts through the streets of New York. You can also channel your inner Blair Waldorf with a pair of cherry red stockings and Mary Janes. Another interesting color combo we spotted was mint and red – the contrasting shades offer the perfect splash that keeps the cool at bay. We also can’t shake the Mob Wife aesthetic that has taken over, so keep an eye out for knee-high boots, mini skirts, and fur coats.
For lovers of suits and separates, rejoice – this season, we’re leaning heavily into the hyperfeminine and architectural style of the ’80s, taking inspiration from Thierry Mugler and Giorgio Armani. And the longer the coat, the better – shades of gray were the clear favorite this season, but we also saw plenty of cream, black leather, and camel tones thrown into the mix. Find inspiration for your next fit check with the top street style looks from New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024.
