It’s one of the most talked-about moments on the fashion calendar, and the street style from Haute Couture Fashion Week certainly did not disappoint. Steering away from experimental styles and staying closer to classic tailoring and intricate detailing, there were plenty of head-turning looks on the streets of Paris this year. Fashion-goers donned layers of tulle, frills, and feathers, wrapped in asymmetrical mini dresses, high-low and voluminous skirts in bold hues, moving elegantly with every step. We also saw plenty of suits this season, in bright and loud shades such as Valentino-inspired hot pink, Bottega Veneta-infused green, purple, and orange, to name a few. Of course, it wouldn’t be Haute Couture Fashion Week without plenty of neutral colours, and splashes of black and white to create sharp and edgy outfits. It was also the year of the cut-out, with slivers of skin showing through shirts, dresses, and jumpsuits for a sexy and sophisticated feel. Regarding accessories, Schiaparelli has certainly inspired maximalism, with plenty of gold, and abstract earrings to amplify already intricate ensembles. Moreover, we saw bags that accentuated outfits, either in monochrome or neutral hues to counterbalance the colourful clothes worn by the attendees. Say hello to a new season of trends and get inspired for your next shopping trip. Here are the hottest street style outfits we saw at Haute Couture Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2022.”
