Attendees of Paris Fashion Week SS24 certainly know how to end the fashion month with a bang, and this year they did not disappoint. While some still clung to the warm weather patterns and prints, others took to fall colors, particularly favoring black and cream, with the occasional blue or red to add an unexpected and unique twist. Unsurprisingly, suiting remains a staple on the scene, borrowing elements from the ‘80s and ‘90s with oversized blazers, waistcoats, and midi skirts and putting a modern spin on it. Some leant into the fantasy feel, choosing billowing garments like floaty dresses, ruffled skirts, and puff sleeves.
What about pants? Who needs them? The trend was set in stone this season, with fashion-goers deciding to go sans trousers, instead showcasing their legs in a pair of thigh-high boots, briefs as shorts with a slick pair of stockings. It’s time to welcome back the trench coat, which was frequently spotted in cream and darker shades. Leather jackets and coats were also seen on every corner. Footwear, including chunky, scrunched, and folded boots was also a popular choice, in black or brown, styled with mini skirts, shorts, and dresses.
