Gabriela Hearst is Rumored to Leave Chloé
Rumors are swirling that Gabriela Hearst and Chloé will part ways after three years. WWD reported that she would present her final collection at Paris Fashion Week in September, but no successor has been named. Hearst was named creative director in December 2020, succeeding Natacha Ramsay-Levi. Under her tenure, Chloé became the first luxury fashion house to receive a B Corp certification.
Chloé hasn’t confirmed the departure. However, the fashion house announced its collaboration with Atelier Jolie. The company said it would work together with Angelina Jolie on a capsule collection, mostly featuring eveningwear crafted from deadstock material and inspired by Jolie’s past looks.
Moschino Celebrates 40th Anniversary
Moschino is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a couture collection in Milan. Coming off the back of Jeremy Scott’s departure, no successor has been named. However, four influential global stylists – Lucia Liu, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, and Katie Grand – will each create ten looks inspired by the label’s previous collections. “The event will be a tribute to the founder Franco Moschino and his priceless legacy,” the brand said.
Haute Couture Fashion Week Schedule Drops
The schedule for Pairs Haute Couture Fashion Week is here, and the lineup is spectacular. The regulars will be present – Chanel, Christian Dior, and Fendi will showcase their designs throughout the week. Standout labels Schiaparelli, Thom Browne, and Viktor&Rolf will also present their collections. For the first time, Ashi Studio will present a couture collection. Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week will take place from Monday, 3rd July to Thursday, 6th July.
Sex and the City Celebrates 25th Anniversary
And just like that, it’s been 25 years of Sex and the City. The fashion-infused TV show first aired in 1998, spearheading a new era of progressive and complex characters in Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte that remains influential to this day. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show, Max (formerly HBO Max) and Vogue hosted a party with the current cast of the show’s reboot – And Just Like That – and costume designers Michael Patrick King, Zac Posen, John Melfi, and many more.
The event featured a series of artifacts from the show, including a recreation of Carrie’s apartment with a vintage laptop and the steps to her apartment. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without the costumes too. A wall of Manolo Blahniks and Carrie’s shoes, accessories from the film series, and iconic garments from the show were also on display.
