MECCA Brands Launches AR Dynamic Shopping Lens
The Australian beauty retailer Mecca is launching an AR Dynamic Shopping Lens with Snapchat. Using this lens, shoppers can ‘try on’ lipstick shades from M·A·C Cosmetics and purchase their favorite lip colors on Snapchat. This new service aims to drive awareness with Gen Z, often known as the ‘Snapchat Generation.’
“A premium customer experience is intrinsic to MECCA, so we’re excited to bring the M·A·C lipstick range to our Gen Z audience on Snapchat – leveraging AR filter technology and our exceptional product selection for a seamless virtual try-on and shopping experience with Snap,” said Hannah Fillis, the Head of Digital Marketing at Mecca.

Is Marc Jacobs Collaborating with Fendi?
The fashion rumor mill is turning! According to industry experts, there may be a collaboration between Marc Jacobs and Fendi’s Kim Jones. According to the grapevine, this collection may be unveiled in September during one of the international fashion weeks. This isn’t the first time the pair have united. During their respective tenures in Louis Vuitton, the pair worked together. From 1997 to 2014, Marc Jacobs worked as the Creative Director of LV, whereas Kim Jones joined the menswear category in 2011 before departing in 2014. These speculations are yet to be confirmed, but it hasn’t stopped the fashion world from going abuzz.

For a unique concept on Farfetch, Peter Do and Opening Ceremony are collaborating on a limited collection. The concept in question – FARFETCH BEAT – aims to bring limited-edition collaborations onto the platform, kicking off with the first two brands. The collection will include a series of varsity jackets with nostalgic roots by Opening Ceremony. The upcycled ‘spacer’ fabric references Do’s latest collection. The collection is available to purchase on FARFETCH.

Priyanka Chopra is the New Face of One Jeanswear Group
One Jeanswear Group is tapping Priyanka Chopra Jonas as their new ambassador. The brand was founded by Gloria Vanderbilt in 1980, focusing primarily on denim. This is their first celebrity ambassador since the late ’90s, with Helena Christensen. Chopra Jonas will feature in campaigns running from August 1st. “I am always inspired by a woman with a pioneering spirit,” said Chopra Jonas of the venture. “Gloria Vanderbilt changed the game for fashion, introducing the first pair of designer denim, a wardrobe staple for so many of us. She was also an advocate for women, and I’m honored to be part of the Gloria Vanderbilt Jeans legacy with this new campaign.”
