Phoebe Philo Announces Label Launch Date
Phoebe Philo has finally announced the launch date for her signature label – September 2023. The former creative director of Celine shared that her eponymous label in 2021 with the promise to launch in 2022. However, this date was pushed back with an unknown set date. But now it’s official, as the British designer shared in a rare Instagram post.
“The inaugural collection will be revealed and available on our website, phoebephilo.com, in September 2023,” read the post. Philo was the creative director of Celine from 2008 to 2018, leaving shockwaves through the fashion community when she left the role. While no further details are known, the website will officially begin accepting registrations in July.

Stars Stun at Grammys Red Carpet
Musicians and celebrities celebrated the 65th Grammy Awards in style on Sunday, donning the red carpet with show-stopping looks. Cardi B wore a custom Gaurav Gupta couture gown in electric blue, complete with cutouts and a wired mesh hood. Other knockouts included Doja Cat in a black latest Versace gown, and Shania Twain switched up her look with a black and white suit set from Harris Reed.
Lizzo stunned in an orange Dolce & Gabbana floral hooded cape, Anitta wore a vintage black lace Versace gown, and Taylor Swift referenced her Midnights album in a midnight blue crop and skirt combination by Roberto Cavalli. Beyoncé, who made history as the most awarded Grammy recipient in history, wore three different outfits for the event. The first was a two-toned Gucci gown with a champagne corset bodice and silver skirt – the second was a custom back Schiaparelli gown and the third, a peach velvet Balmain asymmetric dress with an exaggerated collar and matching leggings.

NYFW is Here
New Fashion Week has officially arrived, with the first shows of the season kicking off on Friday with shows from Christian Siriano and Dion Lee, the former inspired by Audrey Hepburn in a rose garden, specifically at 2 am, the designer said. Pieces included elegant dresses with figure-hugging silhouettes, splashes of purple, black, and canary yellow with an ‘80s flair.
Rodarte stuck close to a gothic theme, with black garments draped in delicate white lace, billowing sleeves, sheer paneling, and an array of tulle and silver sparkles. Following the first glimpse of its ballet core-inspired selection came a bright splash of colors. and wings, woven with layers of silk and paintings of fairies over each dress. The next shows for NYFW include LaQuan Smith, Coach, Carolina Herrera, AREA, and Heron Preston.

Stella McCartney Awarded CBE
Stella McCartney was awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). King Charles awarded the fashion designer the CBE for her commitment to the fashion industry and sustainability. “Humbled to be recognized for my mission to bring sustainability to fashion,” she shared of the honor. “As a British designer, this is such a proud and emotional day for me — not only to receive this incredible accolade from King Charles III but also to have been included in Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s final Birthday Honours.”
