We may have said farewell to Fashion Month, but that doesn’t mean we’re short of new trends. From the runway to the streets of New York, Paris, Milan and London, there are endless new ways to keep yourself looking fresh this season, and we love every single one of them. Channelling the mod scene with ’60s pastels and leaning further into our Y2K obsession, some of these trends are making a huge comeback, and others we have never seen before. Just because the months are starting to get cooler, it doesn’t mean your outfits have to appear anything less than smoking hot. Give your closet a refresh and check out these fashion trends from Spring/Summer 2025 Fashion Weeks.
1. 60s Sorbet Pastels
Get ready to take a step back in time with some ’60s sorbet pastels. From twin sets to shift dresses, this color palette is the perfect way to brighten up a gloomy day or add a bit of zest to your office ensemble. Sticking to the mod aesthetic, opt for a fresh and summery shade that you could see in a magazine spread, such as pistachio, lavender or cornflower blue. Keep the prints to a minimum, instead paying extra attention to textures and different fabrics, like tweed, neoprene or linen. Accessories are another element you should keep to a minimum – classic pieces in gold and silver always look perfect with these shades, though you can experiment with darker hues like black and other pastels for a fun twist.

2. ’80s Leather Jackets
With big shoulders, billowing sleeves and rich colors, there’s nothing like an ’80s leather jacket. Typically found with oversized shoulder pads and a tapered sleeve, it’s a must-have layer to any outfit – from a pair of black capris and a white t-shirt or a button-down shirt and a mini skirt, this outerwear will keep you feeling toasty while appearing effortlessly cool. While black and brown work year-round and with a multitude of other shades, we recommend experimenting with winter shades such as wine or emerald green.

3. Asymmetric Tops
Asymmetric silhouettes have never really gone out of style, but this season, we’re seeing it interpreted in different ways. While the traditional one-shoulder look is always a great choice, and thanks to its classic silhouette, you can play around with different fabrics like lace, silk, and denim. If you’re ready to shake things up, go for styles that sweep to one side or drape to the ground – add a pencil skirt or straight-leg jeans to elongate your figure and highlight the draping fabric.

4. Bermuda Shorts
Even though we’re entering the cooler seasons, it doesn’t mean Bermuda shorts are out of the picture. Longer than regular cut-offs, these shorts typically hit at the knee or slightly below and are a staple of the late ’90s and early ’00s aesthetics. Wear them with a duotone moto jacket and mules for a Y2K throwback, or slip in a sleek one-shoulder top and nude pumps for a more office-appropriate ensemble. When the temperature drops, swap out your heels for a pair of knee boots or knee-high socks and slingbacks. Play around with texture, too – fabrics like wool, denim, or leather work year-round, but we can’t help but love plaid and patterned prints, too.

5. Dark Blue Double Denim
Rejoice, the Canadian Tuxedo is back and better than ever! The iconic double denim duo has received a well-earned update, this time with its color. Dark blue is a chic and timeless choice that looks effortlessly elegant and edgy all at once, elongating your frame and instantly appearing put-together. Thanks to its dark hue, you can layer it with other complementary shades, whether they’re neutrals or bright shades like orange and red, and create a unique and unforgettable outfit. It doesn’t have to be a pair of jeans with a boxy jacket, either – pair the matching denim maxi skirts, longline jackets, button-down shirts, and everything in between.

6. Handkerchief Hems
Handkerchief hems are another throwback staple being brought back into the mix, and we’re welcoming it with open arms. This hem isn’t like your typical dress or skirt – rather than a straight line at your ankle, it is characterized by uneven layers of fabric, giving the appearance of a worn, ethereal gown. While this silhouette is typically subject only to dresses and skirts, the flowing fabric isn’t limited to only the lower half of your body. This uneven and hyper-feminine silhouette looks incredible as a shirt, with fabric running off your shoulders like an elegant waterfall – wear it with a pair of slim-line trousers and matching heels to balance the look.

7. Leopard Print
While the Mob Wives trend earlier this year was short-lived, leopard print has certainly left its mark. From faux fur coats to matching button-downs and trousers a la Shania Twain, there are endless ways to incorporate this feisty fabric into your everyday wardrobe. A skirt or mini dress in black, tan, or other neutral shades is the perfect base to start with, adding the animal print on top. We recommend sticking to only one print per look; otherwise, it can appear a bit messy and overwhelming.

8. Oversized Fringing
From the concert stage to the runway, oversized fringe has always been a staple style for rockstars. The loose and flowing pieces of fabric swinging from your shoulders, sleeves, and trousers look incredible when you walk, and they’re sure to start a conversation or two, no matter where you go. While we saw a lot of black on the streets, why not take a leaf out of Bottega Veneta’s book with bright colors like cherry red, apple green, or lemon yellow?

9. Ripped Clothing
Forget whatever your grandparents say – ripped clothing is one of the hottest fashion trends of the season, and for a good reason. This edgy and rebellious clothing isn’t for the faint of heart, but it is a seriously cool choice for your next outing. A torn T-shirt looks great with a mini skirt and chunky sneakers, or throw on a mini skirt with flowing pieces of fabric cascading off as if you ripped it straight from the sewing machine. Accessorizing this look is all about finding pieces that complement the shredded styles, such as strappy sandals or platform trainers, or retaining focus by sticking to a pair of nude pumps or flats.

10. Romantic Red Dresses
Who said you had to restrict your romantic styles to February only? While this color is already a knockout on its own, we’ve spotted jazzy new ways to breathe fresh life into this date-night classic. Red fabric, hearts, and rose motifs have become some of the most prominent stress details in recent months and they instantly elevate a simple A-line or mini dress – add a few extra to your hair or accessories if you want to go all the way out. If you don’t want the vibrant hue to do all the work, try throwing in another shade to help balance it out, such as baby pink, white, black, or another neutral shade like cream.
