Luxury British brand Burberry Prorsum’s latest Resort 2015 collection has created pieces that are perfect come Rain or Shine.
Creative director Christopher Bailey has impressed with his exquisite feminine Resort collection consisting of printed blouses and knitwear inspired by the vintage books he’s collected at London’s vibrant flea markets. It is their washed-out colours, poetic slogans and the graphic covers from the early 20th century that have inspired a truly unique collection that blends British culture and fashion, perfect for any occasion.
Bailey’s inspiration can be seen through the use of quirky text including “Explore and Adventure”, “Rain or Shine” and “The magic and mayhem of British rain” sprawled across trench coats, bowling bags, printed casual knits and pencil skirts: which give the collection a fresh, youthful feel about it.
Outerwear remains a strong feature of the collection and pays homage to the brand’s heritage, not surprisingly there was a selection of coats on show ranging from the signature cropped peacoats and classic tailored chesterfields to the bold dip-dyed obmré trench coats paired with silk granddad shirtdresses and brilliant pencil skirts in a range of textures.
There is so much to love about this classically chic collection and the long lean and tailored silhouettes make this collection perfect (and extremely wearable) for any stylish woman. What a wonderful way to start the season!
