The painterly print trend had a moment in the Resort 2015 collections by Sportmax, Escada, Christian Dior, Botega Veneta and Prabal Gurung. Bold brush strokes, strategically placed splodges and dripping ink stains appeared on everything from dresses, trousers and skirts to shoes, belts and accessories.
Designers adopted the metallic trend with open arms since it not only added interesting pops of colour, it also provided a unique textural aspect to the apparel which perfectly complemented those hot summer months.
