Animal prints have been around for a long time and they seem to never go out of fashion. You can spot everything from the monochromatic zebra print, subtle snake skins and high contrasting leopard and giraffe on the runways and the streets any time of the year.
This year’s Spring/Summer 2014 runways saw a fresh take on the animal prints in accessories by injecting a pop of colour. Zebra print shoes with neon, leopard print in bold blues and greens, tiger stripes in the neutral tones of the seasons and snakeskin with multiple bold colours. The list continues but one thing we know for sure is that these shoes demand attention.
We adore Philip Lim, Christian Dior, and Giorgio Armani , Dries Van Noten, Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier’s latest collections for their incredible chic use of coloured animal prints and multi coloured snake skins.
Take a walk on the wild side and pair this trend with solid and neutral tones for a more subdued look.
