What an incredible start to the greatest Melbourne fashion event of the year! We could not hold back the excitement and anticipation to attend the L’Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival Opening Event. The venue was buzzing with stylish crowd, celebrities, socialites, models, photographers, designers, TV personalities, and many more. While the stunning ambassador celebrities Megan Gale, Barbara Palvin were interviewed for numerous publications and online magazines, Jessica Gomes opened the gala runway show in Mary Katrantzou’s collection. The opening and the after party were celebrated in style with delicious canapés, bubbles and tropical cocktails to the sounds of DJ’s like Andy Murphy and Cat Call.
The gala opening show featured some of the top David Jones Australian Designer collections including Lisa Ho, Scanlan & Theodore, Dion Lee, Ellery, Rachel Gilbert,Camilla & Marc, Sabatini, Romance Was Born, Lover, Josh Goot, Ginger & Smart, Collette Dinnigan, Carl Kapp, Willow, Gary Bigeni and many more.
The models descended down the runway in beautiful ready to wear garments with breathtaking geometric prints, a pop of colour, leather, lace, sequin embellishments and clean cut monotones. The styling was classic and chic with minimal focus on accessories. The models had maroon colour lips and their hair was neatly tied back in ponytails.
This year we have teamed up with Kasia Zachwieja and Italian videographer Andrea Melloni to capture all the action at the LMFF opening party, gala show, and backstage interviews.
