Whenever the weather gets cold, we find ourselves asking the same question. Is it really possible to feel comfortable and warm while looking impeccably stylish at the same time? Sure, you can wear a nice coat and pair it with your favourite black boots, but how do we take it to the next level? Luckily Milan has answered that question for us with a crash course in winter street styling, courtesy of its latest fashion week. Loungewear and daywear intersected on the streets of Milan and the result was a perfect blend of relaxed style and chic dressing. Fabrics were soft and styles were wearable. Woolly wonders and plush fur took centre stage creating looks that were cosy and just a little kooky. Traditional brown and black furs were thrown aside to make way for multi-coloured masterpieces that matched pop pom bag decorations. The fun didn’t just stop at fur, however, with a mixture of patterns, colour, and fabrics all on bold display. Silhouettes were long, loose and flared (just as you’d expect from loungewear), creating a relaxed mood that seemed to permeate every street style look. Of course, no relaxed fashion look would be complete without an ample amount of denim, which was also highly favoured on the week.
